Genuine Kool Wrap TITANIUM HEADER EXHAUST WRAP TAPE - 2000°F Heat Protection, Lagging

This roll is 7.5m (25') x 50mm (2") x 1.5mm and includes 6 Stainless Steel Ties

For a 50mm diameter exhaust pipe, 1m of pipe requires 4.0m of wrap based on an overlap of 6mm.

This length is enough to wrap 2 large diameter exhaust pipes such as a big twin motorcycle engine ie Harley Davidson or similar.

Also suitable for many domestic or industrial applications such as chimney pipes, diesel generator exhaust pipes, marine exhaust pipes etc..

Kool Wrap Titanium or Carbon style header wrap is made from pulverised Basalt Lava volcanic rock fibres so you can imagine the heat that it can withstand. The material looks amazing but also is approx. 25% stronger than regular fibreglass wrap.

Note that despite claims to the contrary, most fibreglass header wraps do NOT withstand 2000 F (1093 C).
They actually melt at around 1000 F. Vermiculite coated fibreglass and Titanium Basalt rock Tape DO have a maximum heat rating of 2,000 F.

Kool Wrap Exhaust Wrap can boost horsepower 2 ways:

• By keeping exhaust heat inside your exhaust pipes, headers or extractors, you maintain exhaust gas velocity and in turn, exhaust gas scavenging. This means less exhaust gas left in the combustion chamber that can contaminate the incoming and precise air fuel mixture.
• Most intake systems draw air from the under-bonnet area. Super-hot extractors or headers heat up the engine bay and therefore the air that enters the engine. Hot air is less dense and contains fewer oxygen molecules. Less oxygen in the intake air means less horsepower. Kool Wrap can reduce under-bonnet heat by as much as 50% providing a cooler intake charge. Excessive engine bay heat can kill horsepower as well as damage expensive components. And plenty of mechanics have burnt themselves on hot exhaust pipes over the years.
